2023-07-10 10:41:41The food was truly amazing. All the flavors were very interesting and played well with each other. Creative yet measured. Almost everything was to my taste, the execution was nearly perfect, and I'm happy I tried it. The bento box and the meats were my favorites. I would have liked the dessert to be bolder. The views are breathtaking, and the service was excellent.
a month agoCelebrated an anniversary at SAGA and thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The vibes aren't what you typically expect from a 2-star restaurant, as most of the staff is professional yet more relaxed, and the music playing gives it more of a lounge-y feel. The views from the 63rd floor are obviously incredible, as very few in NYC can compare. Dinner was excellent albeit not necessarily the most memorable or unprecedented in terms of quality and wow factor. The Bento box of uni and scallop was solid, the tomatoes and eggplant "pizza" were quite delicious, and the corn/caviar combination was a pleasant surprise. The dry-aged duck, of course, was the absolute star of the show and made the entire meal. It was arguably the best duck we've ever had (and we enjoy our duck), as it was full of flavor, tender as could be, and incredibly filling. Desserts were standard, though the Moroccan tea was exquisite especially after such a savory meal (my wife needs this recipe). It's certainly not the cheapest meal, but SAGA is a worthwhile experience for the solid food and spectacular views. Shout out to our wonderful sommelier who recommended a perfect German white wine to pair with our meal and the team member who prepared our tea for us with an entertaining show.
a month agoA unique dining experience full of memorable bites. Cocktails were delightful. Service was extremely attentive, formal but not stuffy. Food was delicious and well worth the experience. I would skip the wine tasting … and just get more cocktails next time. Didn’t find the wine pairings to enhance the flavor of the food.
3 months agoSpectacular 63rd floor Michelin ⭐ ⭐ restaurant perched over lower Manhattan. Chef Kent's four course tasting menu is inspired by the great city of New York and is truly an experience. The cocktails were amazing, and the servers were super hospitable. We had an unforgettable evening here. Highly recommended!
2 months agoA Gastronomic Masterpiece - A Memorable Experience at SAGA. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I had the privilege of dining at SAGA (Michelin Restaurant 2*) recently, and the experience left me utterly captivated and amazed. From the moment I stepped through the elegant entrance, I knew I was in for a culinary journey like no other. This establishment truly deserves every bit of its prestigious Michelin star. The ambiance was a perfect blend of sophistication and warmth, setting the stage for the culinary adventure ahead. The staff, (especially our captain Pablo) as expected of a Michelin-starred restaurant, displayed an exceptional level of professionalism and genuine passion for their craft. Their knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and wine pairings was impressive. Now, let's talk about the food. Each dish presented was a work of art that skillfully combined flavors, textures, and visual aesthetics. It was evident that the chef's creativity knew no bounds, as they transformed seasonal ingredients into exquisite masterpieces that delighted the senses. The menu was a symphony of flavors, offering a harmonious balance between innovation and tradition. From the amuse-bouche to the delectable dessert, each course was a revelation. The attention to sourcing premium, local ingredients was evident in every bite, showcasing a commitment to quality that resonated throughout the entire dining experience. In conclusion, dining at SAGA was an absolute privilege. From the moment I entered to the final farewell, I was treated to an extraordinary culinary adventure that will remain etched in my memory. If you're seeking a gastronomic journey that transcends expectations, SAGA is an absolute must-visit. Prepare to be enchanted, surprised, and utterly satisfied.
